Student Ministry UPDATE:

Coming this fall

Beginning on Sunday, September 11th, we will kick off our different areas of student ministry here at Kingston. Our newest addition is a class for Preteens! For more information about each area and how they all work together, click on the button below!

Nursery

Our nursery is open every Sunday from 9:30 - 11:30AM for our very youngest, during Sunday School and worship. Nursery is offered for our children from 6 months through preschool.

During the worship service, any child Kindergarten and younger, is invited to the Children's building for Children's worship. They listen to a Bible story, color, and enjoy active play.

Children

Our Kingston KIDS are an active bunch! We have Sunday School every week at 9:30AM in the Children's building. During the school year, we have Wednesday programming from 5:00 - 7:00pm that includes a bible story, craft, music, and dinner. During the summer, we have KIDS JAM (Jesus and Me), which are monthly events after worship. We also have other special events throughout the year.

Children in Worship

Here at Kingston, we believe it is important to let our children not only attend worship, but be active participants.

  • Acolytes

Each Sunday, our children acolyte in our service. Wearing an alb, cross, and belt, they carry in the light and light our altar candles. At the conclusion of the service, they carry the light out, representing Jesus going out into the world with each of us.

  • Liturgists

Our older Elementary children are active participants in worship as liturgists. They help in leading our Call to Worship, our Prayer of Confession, and Scripture readings.

  • Children's Choir

Our children's choir meets every Wednesday during the school year. They sing at various times throughout the year in both worship and on Wednesdays, after supper.
